Psa is the world's largest container transport hub, connecting more than 600 ports worldwide and handling about one-seventh of the world's container traffic. Psa, formerly known as the Port of Singapore Authority, was established on April 1, 1964 to manage and operate all Port affairs at the Port of Singapore. On August 25, 1997, the Singapore Parliament passed a bill to restructure the Port Authority into the Psa Corporation Limited. It began operations on September 1 of the same year.
